Grade 4-8-- Colorful, informative, and interesting, this will fascinate children looking for report materials as well as casual browsers. Insects who spend all or part of their lives in water are carefully examined. Johnson makes clear the difference between bugs and beetles. Habitats, reproduction, and hibernation are all discussed in detail and clarified with many fine, full-color, captioned photographs. Difficult words are defined, although not always when they first appear. A glossary, scientific classification chart, and index complete the well-organized volume.
