Reviews

PreS-Gr 2-Both titles introduce children to the physical characteristics, behaviors, and habitats of a North American species. The books do a nice job of conveying the animals' traits as well as their daily routines. Both books have two to three lines of lively text per page. On each page, a clear, full-color photograph complements the narrative. Italicized words are found in the glossaries. Range maps and labeled, full-color illustrations of the creatures make these small volumes good introductions for young naturalists and animal lovers.-Michele Snyder, Chappaqua Public Library, NY
