Grade 7-10–Six chapters offer style tips, quizzes, body-type explanations, closet-sorting techniques, must-have clothing basics, color charts, and do-it-yourself projects to enhance and accessorize existing and future wardrobes. Directions for projects are illustrated with color photos of the finished items. The section Shopping Like a Pro includes tips on choosing a shopping partner and testing the fit of a garment, and recommends not listening to a sales person. Some readers may find the color illustrations throughout of thin girls a turnoff, but the information is useful. For additional sewing projects, try Judy Ann Sadler's Simply Sewing (Kids Can, 2004).
