Schwartz's prose is clear and lively, and his text is well organized, though diagrams might have been helpful in some instances. Occasional cutesy humor and analogies lighten up the text-only format but are sometimes distracting or disconcerting (such as comparing the embarrassments associated with allergies to concerns about a large pimple on the nose). Abundant statistics, unattributed, occasionally contradict each other, as well. But for teen sufferers and their parents, this provides a good overview.
