The Williams book discusses her rapid movements as a player, the size of her racquet, and her ability to jump for the ball, as well as mentioning her famous hairstyle. In the de la Hoya title, readers learn that the boxer grew up in Mexico but now lives in the United States; that he punches with both hands, using gloves; that he competed in the Olympics; and so forth. The brevity of the texts (well under 200 words each) is designed to insure reading success for new and/or struggling readers. These books should be very popular.
