In a deeply meditative and insightful book, Shea explores the central Christian celebration of the light in the darkness, of truth that cannot be destroyed, and of the union of knowledge, compassion, nature, and history found in the birth of Jesus. In the process, he cites many of the best spiritual writers, poets, and psychologists. This is a wise and beautiful book for both the beginner and the theologically knowledgable. Highly recommended for religion collections.
