Davis presents the case that one key aspect of being an overcomer for the Christ follower is the notion of spiritual authority. Living in a world that is rooted in power, Christ followers are challenged daily by powers that seek to interrupt or trample their success in the journey through Christ. As believers, everything they need is at their disposal, however, they must actively appropriate their authority in attitude and action.

About the Author
Chuck Davis is the Senior Pastor of Stanwich Church. He served 7 years as Professor of Intercultural Studies at Alliance Theological Seminary. He earned his PhD in Sociology from Fordham University. Prior to his assignment as a professor he spent 10 years as a missionary in Mali, Africa.
