Library of Easy Classical Guitar Solos is an extensive collection of more than 150 solo guitar selections by various composers from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods. Edited and arranged by Jerry Willard, it is designed for the beginning classical guitarist, acoustic guitarists exploring classical music, and performers seeking short works for recitals, auditions, weddings, and other occasions.
Every solo is presented in standard notation and guitar tablature, allowing players to study the written score while following a practical fretboard reference. The collection includes dances, traditional melodies, studies, lessons, preludes, waltzes, marches, and recognized concert favorites by Aguado, Carcassi, Carulli, Giuliani, Sor, Tárrega, Bach, Pachelbel, Beethoven, Paganini, Wagner, Mendelssohn, Dowland, Sanz, de Visée, Bosch, Coste, Satie, and other composers.
The shorter selections support focused practice while encouraging attention to phrasing, rhythm, tone, articulation, and musical expression. Contrasting periods and styles help keep practice varied, while familiar melodies and recital pieces make the book useful for lessons, personal study, repertoire planning, and performance preparation.
