About the Author
Eric Wen attended Columbia and Yale Universities, and was awarded a research grant for advanced study at Cambridge University. He is a violinist, and was a member of L'ensemble Arpegggione, a chamber group based in Paris, from 1981-3. Mr. Wen taught theory and analysis at the Mannes College of Music, King's and Goldsmith's College (University of London) and the Guildhall School of Music, and has published a member of articles in the field of Schenkerian analysis. He was Editor of The Strad (1986-9) and The Musical Times (1988-90), and is currently director of Biddulph Publications and Recordings.
