Synopsis
Celebrated tenor and voice teacher of the early 19th Century Marco Bordogni (1788-1856) wrote these comprehensive vocalizes for his voice students. Transcribed and adapted by Johannes Rochut in three books, these vocalizes have become a cornerstone of trombone repertoire. Larry Clark and Sean O'Loughlin have chosen fifty-four of the most melodic and expressive studies that fit the idiosyncrasies of the flute, clarinet and saxophone and presented them in a logical sequence from etudes in the easiest keys and simplest rhythms to more challenging and elaborate studies. These publications are poised to become standard supplemental collections for teaching musicianship to students.
