About the Author

Hale A. VanderCook was one of the foremost cornet/trumpet pedagogues in the early part of the twentieth century. He founded the VanderCook Cornet School in 1909, now known as the VanderCook College of Music. He was a prolific composer of over seventy marches, hundreds of solos and numerous methods for cornet/trumpet. These twenty-five delightful compositions for solo cornet/trumpet were written in a series for Carl Fischer. All of the titles are derived from flowers or plant names. For the firs time ever, all of these gems have been collected together so that future generations of trumpet players can enjoy these works by this great master of the cornet/trumpet.
