Synopsis

This new book is written for students becoming certified nursing assistants in long-term care institutions, hospitals or clinics, or certified home health aides. Special features make it especially useful for non-native English speakers and native speakers with a low literacy level. About the Authors

Rita Frey is an Instructor in the Allied Health Certificate Program at Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown, Massachusetts. This program prepares limited English speakers and native English speakers for jobs as nursing assistants in hospitals, clinics and nursing homes. She is also a staff nurse in the Emergency Department at New England Memorial Hospital in Stoneham, Massachusetts.

Lisa Anne Shearer-Cooper is an instructor at Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown, Massachusetts.
