About the Authors

Gail J. Gerlach has 20 years of teaching experience at the elementary level. She received her EdD in Educational Psychology and Child Development from Temple University and her Professional Diploma from the Teacher's College of Columbia University. She is currently a Professor of Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pennsylvania.

George R. Bieger has over fifteen years of teaching experience at the university level. A noted presenter and former elementary school teacher, Dr. Bieger received his PhD in Educational Psychology from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He is currently the Coordinator of the doctoral program in Elementary Education, Department of Professional Studies in Education, College of Education, Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
