This book is a unique exploration into the passion and death of Jesus Christ. Each of the fourteen Stations of the Cross is depicted in pencil drawings by artist Randy Dixon and accompanied by reflections written by Molly Roth. Dixon's drawings have already been translated in stained glass windows at Saint Mary's Church, Lakeport, California, and continue to receive praise for their beauty. Likewise, Roth's words generate a prayerful spirit among readers by portraying the thoughts and feelings of onlookers and actors - including Pilate, Mary, Veronica, John, the "Good Thief," Mary Magdalene, and Jesus. Altogether, fourteen characters - some historical, some fictional - participate in this passage by a wounded and sometimes floundering Jesus, from Pilate's judgment seat to Jesus' death and burial site near Calvary.
