It's tough to be a pastor. Pastors face demands and pressures on every side, from the challenges of church ministry to the realities of spiritual warfare. But you can make a difference. Your prayers provide a lifeline for your pastor's spiritual health and ministry effectiveness. Eddie Byun offers a handy, practical guide to praying for pastors. He shares stories of how congregational intercession changes things, with specific guidelines for prayers for protection, rest, anointing, integrity and more. God calls us to pray for our leaders. Review

"I appreciate this book because it calls, encourages and equips people to love the church and to pray for its spiritual leaders. This is so needed in our day. I pray that the Lord will use this book to move many in the church to much prayer for their beloved spiritual leaders." (Mike Bickle, founder and director, International House of Prayer, Kansas City)

"Pastor Eddie Byun offers a handy, practical guide to praying for pastors. He shares stories of how congregational intercession changes things, with specific guidelines for prayers for protection, rest, anointing, integrity, and more. God calls us to pray for our leaders. When we do, their ministry is strengthened, the kingdom is advanced, and lives and communities are transformed." (Today's Christian Living, November 2016)

"Pastoring is a precarious profession. The statistics on those leaving the ministry are daunting. While pastors seek to please the Lord, they often grow weary of trying to meet the conflicting expectations of their congregations. That is why I am glad for these timely insights from an experienced pastor like Eddie Byun. This book is more than a book on prayer. It is a book that offers specific ways for a grateful people to support the shepherds who watch for their souls. If you want a better pastor, pray for the one you have. This book tells you how." (Gary Brandenburg, lead pastor, Fellowship Bible Church Dallas)

"To be a minister of the gospel who is faithful to the Word of God is increasingly difficult in our present age. Pastors and shepherds care for the people of God, often at great expense to themselves. Eddie Byun gives us an insightful and sobering look into the life of those who serve in ministry and skillfully presents the need for the whole body of Christ to be laboring in prayer. This book is for anyone who wants to join the fight in protecting the hearts and lives of those whom God has called to lead the church." (Kevin Peck, lead pastor, Austin Stone Community Church)

"Amid the great cosmic battle in which we find ourselves, here is a book that local churches need as a matter of survival. As Eddie Byun points out so effectively, in any battle the first priority of the enemy is to take out leaders. With insight that can only come from pastoral experience, Eddie motivates readers to intercede on behalf of their pastors. He explains why prayer is so needed and shares how we can effectively pray for our spiritual leaders. This book could very well be what God uses to help some pastors and churches survive. I pray many will read it. Thank you, Eddie, for serving our king with this book. We desperately need it." (Chris Brauns, senior pastor, Red Brick Church, Stillman Valley, IL, author of Unpacking Forgiveness, Bound Together and When the Word Leads Your Pastoral Search)

"I've known Eddie for almost thirty years―first as his youth teacher, then as his college pastor, and now as his colleague and friend. For all the years that I've known him, Eddie has been someone who has loved the church and been a support to his pastors. I know few others who are as qualified as he is to write this book. It moved me to pray and I can't wait to have my congregation read it. Pastors, if you want more prayer, get this book into the hands of your members. Servants of God, if you love your pastors, carefully pray through this book." (Min Joshua Chung, senior pastor, Covenant Fellowship Church)

"Prayer enables us to see what we were previously unable to see, to recognize the invisible. Eddie Byun helps us pray for our pastors wisely and well, and in the process, we are given eyes to see the unseen so that we can pray for what really matters." (Marshall Shelley, director, Doctor of Ministry Program, Denver Seminary)

"There are few gifts more precious that congregants can give their pastor than ongoing, faith-filled intercessory prayer. By providing specific and practical ways to intercede on behalf of pastors, Eddie Byun helps to enhance that gift even more. I wish every congregant of every church would read this book. It would build up the body of Christ in deeply transformative ways." (J.R. Briggs, pastor, founder, Kairos Partnerships, author of Fail, coauthor of Eldership and the Mission of God)
