This book is a reprint of a popular book of historical significance to the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. From time to time, the publishing house will release reprints of other historical classics for the benefit of those who have never had opportunity to read the views of some of the early writers of the Reorganization. Elbert A. Smith (1871-1959) was a popular leader of the church for many years. He was especially appreciated for his sense of humor and articulate writing. The story found in this book was one of his earliest. The main purpose of the story is to set forth as a climax the beauty of a life of service, the consecrated dignity of "the ministry of material things".
