The Second Edition of Vibration Spectrum Analysis includes vital new information on current instrumentation, along with case studies, additional appendixes, and new practice questions. Engineers and non-engineers alike will find this clearly-written book an invaluable resource for understanding the latest tehniques of spectrum analysis for solving problems and enhancing machine reliability. Written for vibration analysts, predictive maintenance specialists, field mechanics, and a wide variety of engineers, Vibration Spectrum Analysis assumes no prior knowledge of advanced mathematics or mechanical engineering. It carefully guides the reader through sophisticated analysis techniques in a logical, easy-to-understand manner.
Steve Goldman holds BME and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from New York University, and an MBA from Pace University. The founder of Goldman Machinery Dynamics Corporation, he has consulted in machinery problem diagnosis and monitoring for over 30 years. He also provides vibration analysis training. The author also serves on the adjunct faculty of Rockland Community College (NY) and has lectured extensively on vibration analysis in fixes and rotary aircraft, as well as on rotating machinery design and application in the power, petro-chemical and paper industries. In addition to holding several U.S. patents and a P.E. license in New York State, Goldman serves on the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing's Vibration Analysis P.Q. Committee.
