This big and beautiful book on motorboats is filled with handsome photos of powerboats doing all sorts of fun things. Pike, a technical editor for Boating magazine and former senior editor of Powerboat and Motoryacht magazine, includes helpful tips on purchasing, maintaining, and operating motorboats. His book is geared more toward potential owners than experienced skippers. The information provided is basic. A real plus is the book's relatively low price in comparison with other books of this genre. Recommended as a worthy purchase for libraries with a boating clientele.
