This attractive one-volume reference devoted solely to Dixie has 2500 entries arranged in an A-Z format, covering places, people, politics, and many other subjects. Curiously, Washington, D.C. is included. While coverage was intended to be detailed as well as broad, this reviewer discovered some omissions and errors in checking entries for South Carolina.
