Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. A must for the bookshelf of any car enthusiast. Per its jacket, "This practical manual has been written for the car-owner who is already a competent driver under normal road conditions but who would like to be a better-than-average driver, and especially for the man who wishes to try his hand at competition work -- both racing and rallying. Paul Frere -- Grand Prix driver and engineer, Le Mans winner and author -- gives invaluable instruction based on his many years of experience on the racing circuits of Europe and America." Only date on copyright page is "First published 1963" so this is the original edition, but it is a 1976 printing based on the publication date of the book advertised on its jacket back flap. This book is in near fine condition, marred only by traces of wear at top and bottom of the spine, plus very light bumps on the bottom corners. Its binding is sound and square. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn, with bright gilt titles. Pages are unmarked and unworn. Not a remainder. Its jacket is in very good+ condition: whole, bright and unmarked, with light wear at top and bottom of spine and on corners. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its proud new owner in the same condition as my description.
