Synopsis
Gospel Parallels, now a classic in its field, provides a thoro study of the 1st three Gospels by allowing us to view corresponding passages in parallel columns. Gospel Parallels offers two advantages never before available in a synopsis in English. 1st, the non-canonical parallels are given in full in addition to the parallels in the other canonical gospels. Most students don't have immediate access to the Gospel according to the Hebrews or to the quotations & gospel allusions in the Church Fathers. Yet these are a valuable part of our tradition about Jesus. 2nd, in connection with variant readings, the chief manuscript support has been cited. We believe students who know no Greek can learn the significance of the most important manuscript witnesses. We have included all of the variants noted in the Revised Standard Version & have added others which seemed important enough to bring to the attention of serious Bible students.
