Book Description Hardcover. Condition: new. New. Seller Inventory # Wizard0843134526
Book Description Hardcover. Condition: New. First Edition. Los Angeles, California: Price Stern Sloan, 1992. BRAND NEW with just a bit of very mild shelfwear to the cover (like you sometimes find in any new book store). Purchased by a pop-up/movable book collector from a new book store upon first publication and never opened. Bright, shiny, and clean. NO creases. On the first page is the publisher's stamp ink: "This Book Belongs to" with space for the owner to fill in their name. We have seen several copies with this same ink stamp so we are convinced it was added by the publisher. It is missing from some others copies. This pop-up features a battery powered, realistic sounding door bell. The doorbell still worked until recently. However as usual with this 1992 first edition, the passage of time has caused the battery to die so the door bell no longer works. Regret we don't know if battery replacement is possible. All pop-ups are in perfect condition. As pages are turned, you are greeted by colorfully illustrated, animated visitors. Wiggle the pages to see the monkey's nose move, an ostrich swallow, a frog's eyelids flap, the alligator's loose tooth, and a cute dog's eyelids open and close. Paper engineering by Ines Calvache and Marcin Stajewski. Bound in the original red laminated boards, colorfully illustrated in black, yellow, blue, pink, and white. Montanaro (Supplement 1, 1991-1997) p. 125: "30 cm Push the button and the doorbell rings 5 double-page pop-up mouths.". First Edition. Oversize Hardcover. New. 10 pages. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping. Seller Inventory # 022267
