About the Author:
Herbert Stein was a member of the President's Council of Economic Advisers. He is the A. Willis Robertson Professor of Economics Emeritus at the University of Virginia and a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. Among his many publications are The New Illustrated Guide to the American Economy (AEI Press, 1995) with Murray Foss, On the Other Hand...Essays on Economics, Economists, and Politics (AEI Press, 1995), and Presidential Economics: The Making of Economic Policy from Roosevelt to Clinton (AEI Press, 1994).
