From Library Journal:
Glass as an art medium for the studio artist became a practical reality in 1962, when a furnace small enough to be used outside the factory was developed. This worldwide survey of glass art from that time to the present is primarily a discussion of the work of individual artists with summaries of overall trends in different countries. The accompanying photographs, all in color, are outstanding. The works pictured are mainly sculptures, with very few traditional glass forms. Emphasis is on the United States and Czechoslovakia as the leaders in contemporary glasswork. This book covers new ground in glass art and belongs in every academic art library collection.
