Its sequel, The Haunted Bookshop, Ūnds Mifflin and McGill, now married, ensconced in Brooklyn. The novel’s rollicking plot provides ample doses of diversion, while allowing more room for Mifflin (and Morley) to expound on the intricacy of the bookseller’s art. About the Author
Christopher Darlington Morley (1890-1957) was an American journalist and author of more than one hundred novels, books of essays, and volumes of poetry. He was one of the founders of the Saturday Review of Literature and is probably best known for his novel Kitty Foyle.
