The accessible and practical learners' guide to the RCGP curriculum and the MRCGP - for all GPs in training, their trainers and educators. The Condensed Curriculum Guide is the official guide to the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Curriculum for General Practice. It explains the knowledge, skills and attitudes that every doctor needs to become an effective general practitioner, and how to acquire them in everyday practice. It provides essential information on the Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) assessments and advice on how candidates can best prepare. There are tips and advice on the Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) and the Clinical Skills Assessment (CSA), and on completing the ePortfolio and Workplace-Based Assessment (WPBA). In addition, The Condensed Curriculum Guide summarises: the core areas of competence and essential features; the GP consultation; diagnosis and treatment of everyday clinical problems; evidence-based medicine, patient safety and critical appraisal; professional and ethical standards; clinical leadership, commissioning and practice management.
