Hard cover. 1st edition Dust jacket is very good, which has very minor tear in the top right corners and repaired with acid free stick tape. Spine intact. Text body clean except ex-owner name scrubed out with black texture on the first fly leaf page. This book is an affectionate and nostalgic tribute to a way of life that is fast disappearing and to a race of people of whom one can say " they don't make them like that anymore." It is a book written with sensitivity and deep feeling, yet with an unquenchable sense of humour. Above all, it tells us how it was. Here, at least, the ghost live.
