From the Back Cover

This book is the third in a series of publications, produced by the Royal Society of Chemistry, on the skills development in chemistry degree courses. Communicating Chemistry includes a set of exercises to develop students' communication skills while learning chemistry. The exercises are useful for various stages of degree courses. The activities in this book have been trialled in universities in the UK, and were compiled and developed by Sara Shinton and Patrick Bailey from Heriot-Watt University. Oral and written communication skills are included, in addition to information retrieval and novel teamworking exercises. Each exercise includes comprehensive student handouts and a tutor's guide. The exercises can be used individually, or as an entire module on communication skills.
