Hardback. Condition: Very Good Plus. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition. 1985. 159pp. "Keith Douglas had a lively, restless intelligence. By the time he was killed in action in 1944, he had produced poetry of lasting quality. Even in his schooldays at Christ's Hospital and as an undergraduate at Merton College, Oxford, he had written fine poems and prose . As Ted Hughes said, his is 'a language for the whole mind, at its most wakeful, and in all situations.'" There is light bumping and a small (0.5cm) closed tear to the top edge of the unclipped dust cover. There is also a small bump to the top of the book spine and light foxing to the top and fore edges.
