The authors have extensive experience in palliative and end of life care and bring it to this inspiring book; they set out a clear process through  the end of life care journey and use excellent case studies throughout. A subject rarely covered in books such as these is sudden unexpected death, to which the authors devote a chapter. The discussion is thought provoking and it is an area of care students are likely to be required to consider and manage.
