Hardcover. Condition: Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Thought to be first edition and printing. Dedication signed by a Peter Hopton, presumably a relative of Margaret Hopton, editor. John Reynell was born in Bristol, England in 1809. He emigrated to South Australia in 1838. This account is based on his letters and diaries with editing and additional information supplied by Margaret Hopton. In fine plus pale green glossy boards with oval black and white image of John Reynell to front with black titles. The boards are nearly as new. The green and white end papers featuring maps are very clean. The text block is very tightly bound, straight and clean and in fine condition, illustrated with b/w photos. Fine condition and nearly as new. Includes a sepia postcard of a hunt explained as 'Carrew Reynell and the hounds' at Chateu Reynell, a most interesting extra. Dedication on page facing title page from Peter Hopton. Issued without jacket. Seller Inventory # 69532
