About the Author

Dr. Robert Povey is a freelance psychologist, and a qualified nurse. He is the husband of an MS sufferer. Robin Dowie is a visiting research fellow in thr Health Services Research Unit at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Gillian Prett is a lecturer, a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and a founder of the Association for the Independence of the Disabled.
