Synopsis
The development of advanced techniques for the analysis and design of complex and uncertain control systems has prompted interest in the control engineering community. These developments have occurred within the areas of "Robust Control" and "Hybrid Systems". At present, there are no systematic tools for the analysis and design apart from advanced computer tools and software environments. Parallel development of new theories is essential. The author presents a novel approach for dealing with systematic control design for classes of nonlinear systems and develops the underlying principles.
