About the Author

KIRSTEN THYME-FROKJAER is a trained speech and hearing pathologist. She has worked as lecturer in Rhetoric and Speech Therapy at Jonstrup Teachers collage, Copenhagen. A lecturer in Speech Therapist Education at the Royal Danish School fo Educational Studies, Copenhagen and as lecturer in Speech Pathology at the Audologopedic Education, University of Copenhagen. However her main work has been 18 years cooperation with Professor Svend Smith as a cofounder of the Accent Method. Together with Svend Smith and later with her busband Berge Frokjaer-Jensen, she has taught more than 400 courses on the Accent Method at universitys, hospitals and speech clinics, mainly in europe. BORGE FROKJAER-JENSEN has an MA in Phonetics and Music. He worked for several years with Svend Smith at the Experimental Phonetics Laboratory, Institute of Speech Disorders, Copenhagen. From 1966 he was exployed at the Institute of Phonetics, University of Copenhagen as an ssociate professor lecturing and researching mainly in speech accoustics and speech physiology. Since 1990 he has taught courses in the Accent Method together with Kirsten Thyme-Frokjaer.
