Taken from Chapter 7: Life in a tropical reef More types of sea creatures live in tropical reefs than in any other part of the ocean. A reef is a living thing too! It is made up of thousands of small, colorful sea creatures called coral polyps. Polyps grow on top of one another to form a coral reef.
