Discusses the trial of Anjette Lyle, who was charged with the murders of two husbands, her mother-in-law, and her nine-year-old daughter

Anjette Lyles was a fascinating woman. In a time where women's roles in society were very narrow, she wasn't one to follow the rules. Her scandalous behavior kept tongues wagging in Macon, Georiga, in 1958. But no one ever expected her to be arrested for four murders. This glamorous, charismatic woman was a very unlikely suspect and there are still people who don't believe she was guilty of the crimes for which she was arrested.
The writing of this story required an enormous amount of research. The trial transcript alone was over 1,000 pages long. I believe that I've presented the story in a way that the reader will be put in the position of a juror and see the evidence unfold during the trial. In that way, the reader can decide Anjette's guilt first hand.
Jaclyn Weldon White is the Juvenile Court Administrator in Gwinnet County, Georgia. She has worked in law enforcement since 1978, and has been published in various newspapers and journals around the state of Georgia. This is her first book.
