Having a Good Time uses plays as a way of introducing language structures, vocabulary in context, and American culture to students. It is based on current ESL philosophies, and introduces plays that contain both sheltered texts and context embedded exercises. Each play is preceded by communicative exercises that introduce vocabulary and the themes covered in the respective play. Students are encouraged both to read and perform these plays which are interesting, enjoyable, ad relevant to their age groups.
