Marty Perlmutter has been a pioneer in interactive media since 1970. His video research and development company, Ghost Dance, consulted to the President's office at Harvard, "opened" Harvard's broadband network with its first two way transmission, helped wire MIT and built Telesurgery at Mass General Hospital. As a Visiting Specialist at the Boston Museum of Science, Perlmutter designed and built "Vision and Television," a large-scale interactive exhibit that explained the workings of television and the visual brain. It had millions of visitors in its six year run. Marty also built interactive video exhibits at Lawrence Hall of Science and the New York Hall of Science. In 1983, Perlmutter produced the first interactive movie game, "Murder, Anyone?" which went on to win numerous awards for interactive programming. He lectured and taught in Japan, the US and Europe, sharing techniques for high-quality, high-impact interactive training and entertainment. Marty edited two newsletters in multimedia and wrote about video and computers for numerous newspapers and trade magazines. He was a co-founder of the San Francisco Multimedia Development Group which grew to include 600 companies. He was broadband evangelist for Looksmart Ltd. Marty was a partner in Hook-Up! multimedia recruitment. He is the president of Multisensory Interactive Learning and has taught at Tufts, NYU, San Francisco State and Cogswell College.
