From Introduction: Terrible destructive events have happened, are happening, and will happen. The history of the earth is a story of repeated turmoil and convulsion. But thank God for these violent happenings. This might sound a bit perverse and to some irreverent, but if it weren't for these horrible events, base and precious metals deposits would not exist in the forms that we know them.
