From the Author
This book is set in south Georgia and has been interesting to southern readers, and perhaps especially to older women -- and many caring men -- as well as to all those who have had mentally retarded children in their homes or at work.
About the Author
Martha Stephens grew up in Waycross, Georgia, where Children of the World takes place. In the sixties she moved with her family to Cincinnati, and taught for many years at the University of Cincinnati, until a vision handicap brought about her retirement in 1998. She is a grandmother and active in work for peace and justice.
