About the Author

Thalia Mara taught ballet for more than 50 years and was the founder of the USA International Ballet Competition. She is the author of Steps in Ballet. Janice Barringer is a columnist for Dancer and Pointe magazines and is the coauthor of The Pointe Book. She lives in New York City.
