John David Well-good and Mary Helen Merryman, both painfully naive, find themselves stranded near a. medieval castle on the outskirts of Steubenville, Ohio. They ask, with supreme innocence, to use the phone to call the auto club but even as their host, Dr. Victor Frankenstein, is placing the call, Igor rushes in "Master Master the bridge it's gone!" Frankenstein: "Oh ghastly. Not again I'm sorry the bridge is out, you'll have to spend the night." Little do they know they'll be in the company of not just the Doctor and Igor, but also The Monster, Count Dracula and his wife Natasha, Renfield, assorted female vampires, The Wolfman and his mother Mom Talbot, The Mummy and his factotum Dr. Abdul Nasser and, of course, assorted villagers (all of whom sing!) Unbeknownst to John and Mary, their unexpected arrival has precipitated a crisis, as each of the characters wants one or the other (or both of them!) for his or her own outlandish and fiendish purposes. Written by the creators of the classic novelty hit, the "Monster Mash," this musical romp offers great opportunity for inventive set design, costumes and makeup while providing your cast and audience with just plain fun!
