About the Author

Leon H. Ginsberg obtained his PhD from the University of Oklahoma. He has served as the dean at West Virginia University and most recently the University of South Carolina. Dr. Ginsberg is the editor of the previous three editions of Social Work in Rural Communities as well as numerous other books on social work. A multi-award winner, Dr. Ginsberg is well-known as an expert in the area of social work in rural communities.
