About the Author


Gorka Aulestia (1932 - 2021) was born in Ondarroa (Bizkaia). He was a graduate of the Seminary of Vitoria, the University of Deusto, and the University of Nevada, Reno, where he received a doctorate in Basque literature. Aulestia also had master's degrees in Spanish and French, and eight other degrees earned in the social sciences, foreign languages, philosophy, and theology.

Linda White is an emerita professor of Basque Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, where she taught the Basque language for many years. She is the author of several books and the translator of numerous more from Basque and Spanish.
