About the Author

Dr. Kerns brings more than 25 years of managerial and consulting experience to his positions as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University and Associate Professor of Applied Behavioral Science. Dr. Kerns has consulted with and implemented performance improvement programs for companies ranging from small, privately held businesses to large multi-national organizations. He has taught in nearly every program in the Graziadio School.

Dr. Kerns is an active author, performance coach, and expert in the fields of value-centered leadership development and performance-based management systems. He has applied his vast experience to create his proprietary Corperformance System--values, attitudes, and action roles for maximizing performance. A licensed psychologist, he has earned a Diplomate in Organizational and Business Consulting Psychology as well as a Diplomate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology. He resides in Pasadena, California with his wife and two children.
