Us is a photostory of some of the people who live in Washington, D.C. The book is an allegory, a photohistory, and a new step in photojournalism. The contents include: The City, The Other Government, The Federal Government, Arts, Parties, Church, Dernier Cri, The District of Columbia, the Other Party,and Artist's Note. On the half title page, Aldie signs/presents the book to his Father and the artist Lynne Bundesen wrote and signed "Thank you for making it possible to take such a photo." Thus there are two artist signatures on this page, one for the inscription and one associated with copy number 166. One of the photos in the book is of Aldus Chapin ( page 87), the President of the Washington Performing Arts Society, along with a hand written note from him to his father (Hoped this might amuse you.--Merry Christmas with love, Aldie). Lynne Bundesen is an author, journalist, speaker and consultant She worked as a columnist for a Hearst syndicated newspaper, 1982- 87. The photographs in Us were taken between February 1 and May 15, 1976. Each person signed their photograph and the entire collection was exhibited at Gallery Rebecca Cooler, in Washington, D.C. from June 2 through July 4, 1976. Among the persons whose photographs appear in this work are: Brent Scrowcroft, David Hume Kennerly, Jack Anderson, Tom Braden, Joan Braden, Bob Woodward, Clark Clifford, Thomas G.
