Softcover. Condition: Good. The Goblin Universe is, perhaps, a place of the mind. It\'s the world of psychic phenomena, of prophecy & reincarnation. Above all, it\'s the realm inhabited by ghosts & poltergeists, UFO\'s, the Yeti & the Loch Ness Monster. In what sense is this a \'real\' world? Ted Holiday spent the greater part of his life investigating such things & gained valuable 1st-hand experience of natural phenomena, which enabled him to develop startling new ideas about what they really are. The Goblin Universe is his final testament, developed in collaboration with his friend & associate Colin Wilson. Seller Inventory # AMPLE0875423108

Soft Cover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Stated first printing. Pictorial wraps, moderate shelf wear. Class cover image of reptilian brontosaurus-like cryptid swimming through the red matrix of starry cosmos by Robin Wood and Terry Buske. Very attractive. Pages near fine; no writing. String-bind, fine. Cryptid image section at back. Part of Llewellyn's PSI-TECH Series. Sharp, clean rarity of intriguing material. Fredrick William Holiday, also known as "Ted Holiday" (1920-1979) was a British journalist, angler, cryptozoologist, and wildlife specialist. Published seven years after his premature death and following "The Great Orm of Loch Ness: A Practical Inquiry into the Nature and Habits of Water-Monsters" in 1969, and "The Dragon and the Disc: An Investigation into the Totally Fantastic" in 1973. Holiday claims to have seen the Loch Ness monster, "Nessie", on four occasions in the company of other witnesses. This is, in a sense, the third in a trilogy examining unexplained creatures and pheonomenon. The first title began w/a physical theory, the second a dimensional aspect, and finally the mysterious, often inexplicable nature of these events. "The Goblin Universe" features an introduction by Colin Wilson, who after reading his friend Holiday's book - which was not complete in Holiday's opinion - found it worthy of publishing. It is a look into the many enigmas found in the universe and the association between cryptids and the paranormal, with unique insight. Comparable to Jacque Vallee's "Passport to Magonia" in regards. Printed in the United States of America. 262 pages including detailed bibliography. Insured post. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" Tall. Book. Seller Inventory # 020724
