The annotated works in Labor Arbitration: An Annotated Bibliography have been drawn from books, monographs, analytical articles in professional and academic journals, and the proceedings of the meetings of academic and professional societies. Grievance mediation and fact finding were included because of their close relationship to arbitration. The editors have chosen to focus on the United States and Canada and to exclude material written in languages other than English. Because the development of labor arbitration has been influenced so profoundly by court decisions, the editors introduce the bibliography with a chapter summarizing the principal court cases. That is followed by a section containing annotations of 154 books and monographs, and a final section (by far the largest) noting almost 1,200 articles.
