About the Author:

Gregory H. Magee is a civil engineer with over 15 years experience in the maintenance, repair, and construction of buildings and facilities for the United States Coast Guard. As an active duty officer, he is currently in charge of the Coast Guard Shore Maintenance Detachment in Miami, Florida, with responsibility for maintenance and repair of all Coast Guard buildings and facilities in a seven state area of the southeastern United States. He has previously served for five years as Facilities Engineer for the Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May, New Jersey and as a civil engineering faculty member at the Coast Guard Academy. He is a registered civil engineer and active in several professional societies.
