Synopsis
There have been so many books on boats and boatbuilding – and good ones too – by experts and some near experts that it may seem almost ostentatious for a person to write another. However, being of an age whence I can look back on a good many years at just plain messing around with boats and on the experience acquired thereby – you can never get enough experience at anything – I feel the urge to put down some things connected with boats and their building. None of it is new; most of it is half forgotten; all of it can be useful. Best of all, most of it is very simple.
